Cold plasma therapy – innovation meets medicine

The quantum leap in dermatology

No need to touch the skin: the small nozzle attachment makes it easy to treat areas of the body that are difficult to access, such as wrinkles and spaces between toes or fingers.

Cold plasma easily inactivates viruses, bacteria, germs and spores. A real revolution in medical technology; not only for wound treatment, but also for intensive care medicine and room air purification.

Treatment with ViroCAP® by Viromed activates the body’s own regeneration processes. The cell metabolism is stimulated by reactive species, which activates the overall wound healing process. In addition, cold plasma activates the release of cytokine proteins, which regulate cell growth and differentiation. Cold plasma stimulates angiogenesis, i.e. the formation of blood vessels from existing blood vessels, to improve blood circulation in the affected area and the area surrounding the wound.

Medical device

Viromed Medical AG is starting Europe-wide with the Class 1 medical device. The applications resulting from the clinical evaluation are finalized by our medical law attorneys so that every single word is checked.

Medical device class 2a is expected in 2025 and is the responsibility of our notified body.

Viromed Medical AG has decided to carry out this classification in accordance with the new MDR at a notified body in a nearby European country, as an enormous time advantage can be achieved there with the same thoroughness of work. This process is accompanied and carried out by a renowned, accredited certification service provider.

Simple treatment procedure

Treat quickly and painlessly

First clean the area to be treated manually. Then switch on the device and attach a sterile nozzle attachment. Now start the treatment and gently guide the nozzle over the patient’s skin at a distance of approx. 5 mm. The nozzle attachment fans the reactive species and the plasma onto the skin.

You can set the treatment duration to 1 or 2 minutes by simply pressing a button on the device display. The device uses an acoustic signal to help you control the speed at which you move the device over the skin.

When you attach the nozzle, you activate the device for 20 minutes. You can therefore use the nozzle attachment 20 times for one minute or 10 times for two minutes for one patient.

The nozzle attachment is made of biocompatible plastic and is supplied sterile without exception.
