How does cold plasma work with viruses?
Physical effect on viruses
Numerical studies have shown that the spike proteins change so much under the influence of an electric field that the treated viruses can no longer dock to the receptors of the cells.
Field strengths of 107 V/m are sufficient to practically inactivate viruses.
Chemical effect on viruses
As with bacteria, chemical plasma effects can also play an important role in the inactivation of viruses. Hydrogen denaturation will also change the spike molecules in such a way that the treated viruses can no longer dock to the receptors of the cells.
